The Boca Raton Wine & Food Festival on Saturday, November 5th, 2016 was a beautiful night out for locals and those alike. The balmy South Florida weather made this outdoor event under the lights a magical place to be. The special 7th Annual Celebration took place at Sanborn Square Park in downtown Boca Raton. Saturday evening, chefs from the tri-county area converged upon the festival grounds for the Best Florida Food Festival event the Grand Tasting from 6:00-10:00. And, for you Craft Brew lovers they added a very special area inside the Grand Tasting for the 3rd Annual Craft Brew Battle.
The Annual Boca Raton Wine & Food Festival brings you face-to-face with those who have made their lives — their craft. This is the time for you to dine, drink fine wine and experience a culinary affair , like no other in South Florida! The Chefs come with highlighted dishes they make, plate, and serve. Easy local dining, dinner by the bite. Some of the highlighted restaurant’s like locals favorite The Melting Pot on Yamato Rd and Federal Highway offered artisianal cheese sampling, hand mixed ying yang martini, and their signature hand dipped strawberries. The Rusty Hook had a spicy and fresh tuna poke, and M.E.A.T Eatery and Taproom located 980 N. Federal Hwy and Islamorada, winner of best burger served a waiting line of 20 or more all night long. All these offerings were paired with some of the finest wine choices from local to international wineries. The wineries represented were international choices ranging from an Argentinian Malbec, French Beaujolais, Napa Valley Chardonnay and Zinfandel’s. The event partnered with PROPEL. A Non Profit organization who recognizes and outreaches to those in risk of becoming homeless and offers alternatives and new avenues through education.
|PROPEL (People Reaching Out to Provide Education and Leadership) strives to act as a catalyst for sustained positive change in the lives of communities and families by establishing collaborative partnerships with businesses, community organizations, services providers and government agencies. PROPEL strengthens and stabilizes the functioning of those at risk from becoming homeless through a variety of multifaceted services and accessing levels of education to provide G.E.D. preparation classes for high school drop-outs, by providing intervention and crime prevention, and providing avenues to prevent technical and financial illiteracy.|
